School of the Spirit 'Pop Quiz'

Hey Guys,
Sometimes as Christ-Followers we wait for either a big church service with a guest speaker, conferences, retreats or even big trials and blessings to serve as a catalyst for spiritual growth and personal maturity, Often times that is correct but sometimes life throws pop-quizzes to check if you have been doing your homework (application of biblical principles,spiritual invitation, impartation and inspiration that you have received from church services and personal encounters with God).

Here is a small list of possible school of the spirit pop quizzes
  • Flat Tire when its freezing outside
  • Catching a cold when you have no more sick days left
  • Rain throughout your vacation
  • Kids leave the fridge door open for hours
  • Your friend drops your I-Phone while playing angry birds
  • During your fast day your company has lunch catered
  • Your kids gives you attitude a 30 minutes before your first Choir solo
  • Your get into a fender bender before teaching a your small group

We have to understand that our growth is often gauged by our reaction to problems we all face.

Mat 5:45 NKJV - "that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

Decide this week to work on your reactions to challenges and do your spiritual homework in meditating how to applying what you are learning to your life.

Jam 1:22 NKJV - But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
Jam 1:23 NKJV - For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;
Jam 1:24 NKJV - for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.

God Bless,
