O.K. I've been involved in ministry for some time now and I hear people talking about going through spiritual tests. So let me share some uber quick thoughts on progressing in our walk with God.

1. Do your H.W.- Whatever you learn in church must be processed spiritually,mentally and you must come up with a way to integrate that knowledge into your life quickly and consistently in your personal life at home.
2. Take your daily exams- Make sure you spend some time daily examining your day and reflecting on your intention, thoughts and actions and reactions, more often than not we have to take time to re-center ourselves in Christ.
3. Study Daily..don't cram or you will crash- Take some time for studying God's word daily...via daily bible reading, podcasts, Cd's, Daily bread or picking a book to read on spiritual growth every month.
4. Commit to become a good student- the word disciple denotes disciplined learner...we must commit ourselves to be open to learn about God everyday.
5. Put on your uniform- I never went to private school but I see the value in having students wear a dignified uniform. if your a student of the school of the Holy Spirit then you must wear the Armor of God daily (Eph.6)
6. Take notes during  clas(sermons)- A short pencil is better than a long memory and file it for future reflection and H.W. (see #1)
   

I believe if you commit to follow these 6 tips you may possibly find yourself in a better position to pass your next 'Test' and see your promotion be set in motion.
