15.5 Things I learned in Europe

Chilling in Paris
That's me in front of my summer home in London (well maybe its not my castle..but it is in London)

What's up
Today I want to share 15.5 things I learned in Europe

  1. First God is good because he made a way for Ana and I to go (Free airline tickets, time off from the day job etc)
  2. Global migration is beginning to become very strong in Europe, Interesting to see how that will effect their culture a generation from now.
  3. Victory Outreach is truly a global ministry. The churches in Europe are doing well. Its still amazing to have family all over the world, I had a just to hang out with people like Pastor Ron & Sharon and Pastor Paul & Vicky, Warren and Stacey or John 'the butcher' and Johny 'the bouncer' Masa or Nii and the youth from Manchester Ana and I felt an instant connection that comes from being part a ministry that values family.
  4. I was amazed to see how the media in Europe cover American news and sadly we hardly hear about what's going on over the pond.
  5. We need to pray for America's economy...every time I had to convert currency I was hurting.
  6. The Mass transit in Europe runs as good as NY, but the trains are smaller and the buses are bigger.....but they don't run 24 hours
  7. It's amazing to see how global hip hop's influence is, England has their own genre of rap call 'Grime' and when I went to see the Eiffel Tower they were some young people Break Dancing' for money. Hey did you know one of the grandfathers of break dancing goes to my church (see Lawrence on the leadership page).
  8. If you go to England or Paris be prepared to walk.
  9. The people in Europe have different view of personal space. If some of the people over there acted the way they did in their train in my NY MTA  J train they will get beat up.
  10. They take soccer very serious and they mistakenly think Rugby is better than Football (They buggin on that one IMHO)
  11. The larger churches over there are generally not multi racial or Emergent in philosophy.
  12. The men wear there clothes tighter (see what Kayne did)
  13. I did not see any vibrant protestant churches in Paris (I'm sure there are there...I didn't see any) hmmm maybe Ana and I will go (Uhh probably not....I don't speak French...or Spanish and my english is not great either)
  14. They eat for the taste rather than the sensation of feeling full (that took a minute to get used to)
  15. I didn't see any Puerto Ricans (I was suffering from a severe case of Adobo deficiency)
  16. There was more but I got to go.
Peace
Love God
Love yourself (Buy a foot massager)
Love your neighbor (Even that cashier who was texting on her sidekick and she forgot to pack your rice pudding uuggh Jesus take the wheel)
