Harvest Fest 2008
What a Harvest! Hi everyone...this is Sister Ana making another guest appearance here on Pastor Ed's blog. Just a few hours ago Victory Outreach North Brooklyn wrapped up it's Inaugural Harvest Fest 2008. Much thanks to God first, Tinkerbell the Christian Clown, NYCHA Williamsburg Community Center, Recovery House of Worship and The Urban Training Center. This was not a one person operation and I thank all the contributors for making this event a success, all for the honor and glory of Jesus Christ. As Christians we don't believe in the celebration of Halloween and if you study it's origins God isn't really in it. Okay, so if we tell our kids not to participate in things such as Halloween then we must provide an alternative and not have to compromise our faith and hold on to our values!
There was
There was
- 300+ People in Attendance (Didn't expect that, but they sure came!)
- Children's Christian music playing (Keep a good atmosphere)
- Family Polaroid pictures (Remember the Time)
- Snack booth ( at least 600 bottles of water & soda + snacks)
- 2 inflatable rides
- Tinkerbell the Christian Clown ministering the Gospel (All the way from Alcanze Victoria Las Vegas)
- Games (Harvest Bingo, Bean Bag Toss & Twister)
- Face Painting (Some children didn't have costumes so this was a HIT!)
- Prizes and
- CANDY! (There was plenty to go around)
I am glad that I followed that tug in my heart to go forward with this event, I know it was the Lord who started this and He finished it with accepting many into his kingdom tonight! Thank you Jesus. Thank you for reading and till next time bloggers and fans. PEACE P.s. Yes, I dressed up too...as Ugly Betty.

The Harvest Fest Event was great, I've never seen so many children screaming out "if you go to children church you grow grow grow!" They had great fun playing the games at every station. It blesses your heart to see so many smiling faces. Our prayer is that they hold on to the message that Jesus loves them and we do too.
'Sister Ana', great Job!
With much love
