What's going on...

Hey guys,
I've been crazy (I mean really) busy of late, so here is a quick update on what's going on at V.O. North Brooklyn
Last Friday 9/12/08 we had a special guest speaker-Rev. John R. from V.O. San Fernando and the power of God moved in a mighty way.
Last Sat.  9/13/08 we had the Illest (I mean really good) Basketball Tournament called the 'Fall Classic'- It was like one of those 'And 1' tournaments you see on espn...Rap Music (Christian...but no one noticed) Hot dogs, Kids getting their ankles broken, Refs who can really play (ref/coach Wood won the 3 point contest,I took 3rd place), little kids getting their faced painted, Girls Jumpshot contest and the Final game that ended with someone getting dunked on at the buzzer and everybody going crazy (dude these were teens 14-17 dunkin' the ball) but to the defense of the kid that got dunked he can play for my 'All Star' team any day he is a great player who can also dunk and shoot from the outside.
here are some pictures...

Co-Mvp  (great player)   Co-Mvp (Will Dunk on you)     Great Refs (Selvin & Todd)         3 point winner

If any other Pastors want to challenge my all-star team let me know

Sunday Service was great also and everything was all good until my NY Jets lost (don't want to talk about it)

OK Gotta go
Remember to Love God
Love yourself
and Love your neighbor
even the lady who was swipping her metrocard the wrong way like 33 times causing you to miss the 'J' train and make you late for work...aargh Jesus take the wheel...It's ok ok I'll be alright

Coming later in the week is a NFL post and a post about the new Preaching series I'm starting call 'Life 360'
don't be scared to leave a comment.
Peace

This was a great event. We have got to do more. To see their faces as they played and competed; they had such joy and also determination. Jimmy and I were the last to leave as we did the clean up and we got to see all the kids still sporting their T-shirts and playing and talking about the event.
Great Job Pastor Ed and Sister Ana
