Yesterday was a busy and productive day.
- First good news on Sunday service we had a new guest publicly accept the call to become a Christ-follower and we had a young man accept the call to go deeper in his walk with God and get more involved.
- Oh Yeah back to yesterday....
- We had the UTC (Victory Outreach Urban Training Center http://www.victoryoutreach.org/education/victory-outreach-utc.asp) come and help us with a one day 'Blitz' (you know I like football and military history).
- They did a phenomenal job. They handed out approx 4,000+ flyers and offered many people and encouraging word and prayer.
- We filmed our 'media' portion of our presentation.
- I met with the Head Detective of Crime Prevention in our area and we are in the early talks in planning an official 'Anti- Gang' event with ex gang Brother Danny Carrera (East Coast UTC director) as the main speaker and he is talking about having the backing of the local politicians.
- Ana, Pete and myself attended the community Pastor's meeting and received a great amount of useful information (or 'Intel' for you strategic types).
- Ana and I are preparing for the arrival of our good friend Pastor Patrick Robbers (West Coast UTC director and Dutch Homeboy)
- Pete and myself will approach a number of popular businesses and ask them to put up our Easter posters.
- I plan to meet with the coordinator of the community center and plan some basketball tournaments
- I also plan to meet with the Gamestop store manager about partnering together for some video game tournaments...which is an Idea I got from participating in last Sat. Madden Tournament (God is still healing my heart...j/k) and from some of the students from the UTC when we held a small 'Brainstorming meeting' last night.
