Its Time To Move (again!)

Hello everybody in cyberspace I know its been a very long time since I last posted...but now I'm back,

My life has been pretty busy and now I find myself and my church moving again. Me and my family will be moving to Greenpoint Brooklyn in less than 2 weeks and Victory Outreach North Brooklyn will be moving this Friday to 108 Manhattan Ave (Between Johnson ave and Boerum st.) this will be VONB 4th move in 2 years and my 4 move as well in 2 years. Its not easy to always be on the move we more often than strive for stability and comfort, But God is great and he is in control and I believe he desires for some people who are in the 'potter's wheel' to often get out of the place of familiarity. I believe God has great plans for my church and for my life (Jeremiah 29:11) and quite often in the midst of those plans the Lord is preparing us for greatness and shaping and molding us to have the mental, leadership and spiritual capacity to handle the future blessings and work load.

During this period of transition God often transport us so we don't always try to do everything in our strength but we learn to work as well as to pray real hard and to also rely on God's strength and provision for our vision. Many people in the bible and modern history go thru these 'training days' Like Moses and the wandering people of Israel who had to rely on the signpost of clouds to transform them from slaves to soldiers from complainers to conquerors, like King David who wander for several years with a band of discontented, distressed and in debt men who were transformed to 'Mighty Men', or like Joseph who went from living as a 'favorite' son to a slave to a prisoner to being a prime minister in the palace. I know God is going to internally and externally strengthen, develop and grow myself and VONB to go from average leaders to great leaders and from good church to a great church, the process has been taking place for two years in our humble church we have seen people come in and be saved and set free from drugs, depression etc and now we have people who in two years there salaries have jumped in the tens of thousands, people who have written books, couples getting married, Young men are entering college and adulthood with dignity, Stacey's dream of being a member of our team being fulfilled and so much more.

God is removing the crutches and EZ chairs from our lives. God is moving us out of our comfort zone. No longer leaning on the left or right, but relying on him and letting him place us in the desert (if it was good enough for Moses and Jesus its good enough for me) and when we are in the desert we have to drink of the 'Living Waters' and rest but not abide in the temporary oasis because we have a vision and destination so we have to pass the prolong 'crucible' test and graduate to the next level of wisdom, leadership capacity and spiritual vigor and strength. So are ready to 'pack your bags' and go to the next level be enrolling in Wilderness University, I know Victory Outreach North Brooklyn is!
