10 things I can't live without

10 Things Pastor Ed can’t live without

(These are tangible replaceable objects not irreplaceable intangibles like salvation, family and health. So don’t get all super spiritual on me now)

1)      My John Maxwell Leadership Bible- My good friend John (hey with all the money I spent on this guys stuff he better think of me as a friend) as I was saying my good friend John and his team put out a great bible in the new king James version and its packed with awesome leadership notes and lessons

2)      The Internet- If you don’t know by now it’s the best and fastest way to get and convey information. I know there are a lot of Christians that hate the internet but I like to look at it this way water keep you clean and alive but it can also drown you its all how you use and not abuse the resource.

3)      My Metrocard- My one week metrocard gets me all around the city, its especially helpful when you live in Crown Heights, Pastor a church in Williamsburg (195 Graham Ave @ the Williamsburg Community Center at 10:56 am Sunday morning), work in the Wall Street area, have PO box in Brooklyn Heights, visit family in Park Slope and have to go to Grand Central and Penn Station to travel to other states to fulfill my GANG regional duties.

4)      My Samsung SGH-t509 Cell Phone- I must admit my cell phone is kind of cool is slick and sleek, its skinnier than Nicole Ritchie and I can text everybody in my church w/ one button and do follow up after 9 pm for free.

5)      Dr Bonner Peppermint Liquid Soap- Its stronger than Hulk Hogan circa 1987and its help keep so fresh and so clean clean, remember cleanliness is close to Godliness (even though that’s not even in the bible)

6)      My Netflix subscription- 70,000 movies to choose from plus they have large Christian and football selection.

7)      Coca Cola Soda- I know its not good for you but it’s a staple in the Castro house and all VONB fellowships..Buying Pepsis my get you corrected

8)      My Walkman- I know everybody is rocking the iPod but I still like my trusty Coby $10 walkman w/ my souped up $9 headphones and its cheaper to buy tapes from the Victory Outreach Vision outlet than CDs and a walkman fits in my pocket so while I do other things I can listen to a leadership tape…Blessed is the multitasker (that’s not in the bible either)

9)      My key bible study books- I always use my Strong’s Bible Concordance, a great book called Rightly dividing the word of truth (the timeline charts can’t be beat) and a few other study books along with blueletterbible.com make my life a little easier

10)  The last one I can’t seem to decide it’s a combo of many things like- Pictures of my wife and kids, Mavis toothpaste (from Italy..You don’t know about that), Madden 07’, Pete’s Car (Pete and Nat are a huge blessing to me and my family they are down for anything…except missing Grey’s Anatomy and fighting samurais), PBS kids channel and Chicken Cutlets

Tom. (That’s email talk for tomorrow) I’m going to speak more about last weeks great event at vision transmit and 5 reasons you should come to Victory Outreach North Brooklyn Sunday service this week.

    2. My Life Application Study bible- it's got amazing notes and cross referencing
    3. My Cellphone- my phone has been faithful since like '98 so even though I'm tryin to upgrade to a Sidekick I still love it

4b. My new guitar- (#4 consists of instruments so I'm not cheating). I sound pretty awful now but I'm getting there!

    7. My laptop- I'll admit it- I love my myspace page! Email, shopping, graphic design...I can do it all while maxin and relaxin on my bed. But don't be fooled- leave a laptop on your lap too long and you'll get burned!
    8. My icecream- Can anybody say Coldstones?
    9. My (dad's) car- Bensonhurst is nice and all, but it's far from church! Thank God for Daddy!!
    10. Uncle Tommy Chicken- if you don't know you better ask somebody!

Hi, I'm Cooky and a member of VONB, please excuse me for being such a web-rookie, I posted my comments in the wrong blog. So, here goes my list again.
    1. My very worn out pink Bible, It's the first gift my husband gave me when we were dating. ( How could I not fall for a guy who loves Gods' Word and gives it to me in my favorite color)

    2. My other book 'Words of Wisdom' given to me by Billy Graham (Yeah we tight like that, really!) I read a psalm and a proverb every morning. It's how I start my day.

    3. MY COFFEE, that I sip on while I'm reading my old pink bible and my 'Words of Wisdom book' (from Billy Graham, did I tell you we are tight like that, reall!)

4.The 24 hour cartoon channel, without I would never be able to read my pink bible or 'Words of Wisdom' (from Billy Graham, did I tell you, oh yeah I did, well we are!)

    5. Preference Loreal - Med. Auburn, I know it's a girls secret, but roots don't lie, and my roots scream out, Salt & Pepper.

    6. My Gospel music I can hear all day, all the time, (can I get a witness)

Taking a cue from Natalie, here are some things I can live without:
(the same things as Natalie) plus, my door bell, it is jarring and I find myself yelling into the intercom WHO IS IT! And now my grandsons LIl Eddie and Ethan yell at the intercom " I SAID, WHO IS IT!
