When you are in the arena of Christian leadership and inspiration sooner or later you are going to hear a phrase or quote that says 'If you want what you never had,you got to do something you never done'(I don't know who deserves the credit for this quote)
I believe that quote holds a lot of truth especially in the area of making a difference in our world.
I want to challenge you to do something to help someone this Christmas season in a way like you have never experience before. I believe you will feel the joy that comes with the mentality 'it is better to give than to receive'.
If you are dedicated in making a difference don't wait for 16 more days(new years), do something today or at least this week.
                                                       Here are some suggestions
Buy groceries for a family experiencing a financial set back so they can have a holiday dinner
Buy extra toys/clothes and give them to a single parent, remember they might give you the credit or sometimes act like they brought it themselves so they can give their kids the experience of opening a present from them(but it doesn't matter if you get the credit)
Give a homeless person that you see often a pack of socks and gift card to a fast food restaurant.I like handing out Starbucks cards, Imagine the look on the barrister face when he orders a 'venti mocha latte with room and pesto chicken sandwhich with sun-dried tomato on foccasia bread.' Now thats priceless
Give a large donation to your favorite charity or church
Visit and volunteer at a children's hospital (my friends from Victory Outreach Bronx church will be doing this)
Christians should e-mail a missionary or Pastor in the foreign field( a gift will be awesome)

I'm sure you get the point, like I tell the leaders in my church 'You can be a world changing revolutionary for Christ without breaking your lease' (if you do and its a 3 bedroom at $750 in Williamsburg call me @ 347-251-834..just kidding) so stop worry about Bradgelina(baby Shiloh is cute,I can't front) and start looking to make a difference.
And remember 'IF YOU WANT WHAT YOU NEVER HAD,YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING YOU NEVER DONE'.
You don't really remember dates you remember moments ...so create a life changing moment for someone today,you and they will never forget.
